Dear Host Family,
Hello. My name is Mari Hove and I am sixteen years
old. I live in Norway I am studying at high
school. I am currently not involved with any jobs,
but I hope to find a job in an interior shop
before I leave for USA.
I live with my family; my mom, my dad, my sister
and my cat. My sister's name is Line and she is
nineteen years old and lives with us. We have a
close relationship and we are good friends. We
often hang out together and watches movies and
other things like that. My mom's name is Kristin
and she is fifty years old. My dad's name is Sven
and he is fifty years old too. My cat's name is
Simma and she is nine years old. She is grey and
very sweet. I love all kinds of animals and I am a
huge fan of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment
of Animals).
Our family has a close relationship, we often hang
out together, and we love to travel all over the
world in the vacations. I am very happy about my
choice of school, and I spend a lot of time on
homework. In my spare time, I hang out with
friends and watch movies, go to cafes, cinemas and
a lot of other fun stuff. I also spend a lot of
time on the bandy field. My friends are the most
important thing for me and I love being with them.
I have been trying many different activities, but
I love horses and I
have been a horse back rider for many years.
I have experience in cross-country. I also love to
sing and dance, and have been doing it for many
years. I was involved in a choir when I was
younger. I like to read books and listen to music.
I love to go to music concerts and I like a broad
variety of music. I like; Coldplay, Foo Fighters,
The Killers, Metallica and a lot of other band and
artists. I am also a huge fan of charity, and try
to spend time helping others.
I believe I am a nice and kind girl and I have a
good upbringing. I am very social and get easy
contact with new people. I love talking to other
people and making new friends. I have good manners
and I am an open and honest person. I look forward
to be an exchange student because I think it would
be a completely new experience for me, to be in a
different country, culture, language, and school.
This experience is going to follow me for the rest
of my life. I hope that I can learn a lot, and get
a new perspective on other cultures, when I live
in USA. I have no words for how much I want to go.
In addition, I hope that you will accept me.
Sincerely yours,
Mari
