Dear Host Family,
I am very pleased that you are reading my letter
right now. I will try to tell as much as possible
about myself, so you can get to know me as much as
possible. I am sorry for my clumsy English, but Im
sure I will improve my English after ayear in USA.
I am a sixteen years old girl from the exotic
Norway in Europe.
I will be seventeen years old when I come to USA.
My spare time is like Some much to do, but so
little time
I play the bassin a band. We practice every
Monday.
I've been member of a theatre group since I was
around 13 years old. Therefore I have played in 3
different theatre productions. I thinkdrama is
great, because you learn so much about yourself.
My friends would describe me a very social person.
I am not shy at all and I think its fun to meet
new people .I am very active as well, and I have
tried a lot of activities and sports during my
life. Like Gymnastics, Table tennis,
Freestyle/disco jazz dance, Jazz-ballet, horseback
riding and tennis. Of these things dancing is my
favorite. I have been taking part in a lot oflocal
dancing stage shows during the last years.
I live in Norway. I think the nature here is
great.
During my time thereI got to see a lot of typical
American stuff. Like fast food restaurants,
spectacular highways andbeautiful beaches, but I
think USA is much more than that. Iwonder how its
like being a High School student in USA. Is it
like on TV, or totally different?
Here where I live it is a cold climate, but
usually hot in the summertime. We have forest and
small lakes not far away, but its often too cold
to bath there. If I want to go to a real beach I
would have to drive [for a long time].
I think it would be cool to spend a year in USA.
Im sure I will get the opportunity to do a lot of
typical American stuff.
I hope you found my letter interesting, and I hope
to hear from you soon. :-)
Sincerely yours,
Hilde
