Dear Host Family,

My name is 0rjan and I am 16 years old. I have 2 brothers named Ken Marius who is 13 and Kevin who is 10 years. My dad's name is Terje, and my mother's name is Anne. Since my dad and mom are not married anymore I live 14 days with Dad, and 14 days with Mom. At Mom I have a dog who is a Golden Retriever, named Marco, and we have 2 cats.

I am very active in sports and enjoys soccer, gymnastics and freestyle skiing. I do sports 3 hours each day except Saturday and Sunday. I am a coach in freestyle for about 30 young athletes.

Dad has a girlfriend named Pernille. She has 3 children named Espen 13 years, Morten 8 years and Ingrid 6 years. So when I live with Dad we are one big family. Otherwise, I'm a lot with my friends in our spare time. When I was small I decided to become a pilot. It will continue and I look forward to a professional career in the defense and then to become a pilot.

I have 2 grandmothers but no grandfather. One of my grandfathers died before I was born and the other when I was 4 years. I have 5 uncles. I have an uncle that matter wary much for me. He is younger brother to my mom. We find a lot of fun together.

I am a very positive boy who likes to find the things together with friends and family. I love to ski in the winter and go to sea with boat in summertime. Water sports are also something that I think are fun.

I really look forward to spend a year in California and get to meet new people and make new friends. I am very excited about the new family that I can live with and the school that I should go on. On weekends and holiday I work at a gas station to earn money for the year I will spend in the U.S...

The subjects I like best in school are history, English and gym. The grade system at Norwegian schools is from 1-6 were six is the best, in English I got I strong 4, in gym a strong 5 and in history a clean 6.
