Dear Host Family,
As I read that I should write a letter to my host
family I was very shocked, because I did not know
what I should write.
I think at first I should tell you something about
me, my family, my friends and my live.
My name is Ann-Kathrin, but my friends and my
family call me Anni.
I think I am a normal person, who is sometimes a
little bit crazy but very nice and helpful.
I am fourteen years old and live with my mother,
my nineteen years old brother and my two guinea
pigs.
We spend so much time like possible together.
Sometimes my mother, my brother and I go shopping
or look a movie together. My friends are very
important for me.
I know some friends from my handball team, my
tennis team, my class.
Sometimes my friends and I tell us stories about
things we do in the last time or we cook a
delicious meal or we look a movie and eat many
sweets or do sport together, which I like very.
Let me tell you something about my school time.
I think I am an average pupil, who sometimes fool
around and sometimes work concentrate. My
favourite subject is PE, because I am very good in
PE.
And I hate chemistry, because it is very boring
and I do not understand the themes.
I think I told you enough about me and my life,
now I want to tell you why I want to go to
America. I think I want to go to America, because
of the many different things like Germany. For
example America has an other culture and I am
looking forward to see this culture. And I want to
be your exchange student, because I want to see
how other families live and how you and I react
when I (a foreign person) live with a for me
foreign family. Of course I think we will have not
many problems. I will do my best.
Moreover I want to go to America for ten months,
because I want to be better in your languages. And
I want to look whether I can live in a foreign
country. And I think an important thing in America
will be that I like my host family and my host
family me.
I hope you want to know now more about me and
chose me with it I know more about you, too.
Sincerely yours,
Anna - Kathrin
