Dear Host Family,

My name is Caio, I am from Brazil and 15 years old. I have always dreamed living in USA and attending the High School and to know the American culture with a new family. Besides improving my English I know that staying in America it will mean a great opportunity to meet new friends and to live according the American way of life.

I am well-bred and well-balanced boy for living in a new family. Like most of the Brazilian boys, I love to practice sports mainly soccer. I also like to study, listening to music, going to the malls and to travel for knowing new cities and landscapes.

I have been studying English for five years and I don't have problems for learning a new language. I know that during the exchange program, besides improving my knowledge of life, I will have to adapt myself in a new way of life, but this is not a problem for me because I have discipline, comprehension and respect for the people.

I have already had an experience living in another country when I was six years old. We lived France. I had to study in a French school without knowing anything about French language. I remember that during the first four months I did not say any word in the school but even being a little boy I did not cry. After four months I began to talk in French and to joke with my new French friends. Unhappily because I was too young I have forgotten the French language since then. For me it was a great experience that I remember with satisfaction.

I hope you like me. During the first days of meeting someone I am a bit shy but I know you are a kindly family to host me and you will have the opportunity to know my joy and extroversion of my personality.

Sincerely yours,
Caio
