Dear Host Family,
My name is Larissa. here is all I need: my family,
my friends, my tennis club, my dancing school and
my music school. That's it what I spend the most
time with. I attend school five days a week. There
I everyday see my best friends. We go in the same
class and we aren't mathematics friends, but on
the other side I am a good pupil in English,
French and Music. I go out for a walk with my dog
Lucy every second day.
On the other day it's my sisters turn, Fabienne.
The other day I do some housework so that my
parents don't have to do a lot when they come back
in the evening when they have finished working.
I have a lot of hobbies. One time a week I play
tennis at my tennis club, it's near our house.
Sometimes I go there with my friends for playing
tennis, when it's warm. One day a week I am at my
music school, I am playing violoncello for 9
years. For a few years I played also in an
orchestra, but then I'd like to do some more
sports, so I decided to go dancing with friends,
now I stay there one or two times a week. My
parents support me in these hobbies as long as
they can.
I am really happy to have them, also my sister
Fabienne who is two years older than me. We have
an extremely good relationship with each other. I
am sure they will miss me too when I am gone, but
I know they are happy for me that I have the
unique chance to make my dream come true.
There are so many reasons for me to make an
exchange. Now I can't suppose that I will really
visit your country. All experiences I make. I will
learn your culture, a different school system and
additionally-what is probably the most important
part-I will meet you. I am so excited to know your
family life and your everyday life. It makes me
smile if I think about next summer. This exchange
will surely make my character stronger. I also
want to improve my English. I hope we will do a
lot things together, because I like spending time
with my family. Today for example my mother and me
visit a market especially for Christmas and go to
the cinema for looking the new "twilight" movie.
(I read all books, because I like this kind of
stories.)
I am also interested in your High schools, because
I heard that there are many possibilities for
choosing different subjects and activities. That's
what I miss at my school. I always wanted to play
basketball, but I have no more time for this,
maybe I will try to do it at High school for the
time I spend in America.
Now you have a small view of my life. I am very
eager to make knowledge of you.
Sincerely yours,
Larissa
