Dear Host Family,

First I want you to know how happy I am that you want to give me the chance to spend an amazing year in the USA.

Since I am 14 it is my big dream to live there for a couple of month, because I really like your culture, the climate and most the people!

In summer 2009 I was there on vocation with my family. It was incredible for me. That was my greatest vocation ever. So I decided to make an exchange.

I like my family, my friends and all my life here in Germany, but I am sure that a high school is much more... After this exchange year, I am sure, I will still got my friends here in Germany and I am also sure to find some new friends in the USA, because I really like people around me and to be around people. In Germany school is just for learning, there, I think of course you also have to learn and study a lot, but the friendships and relationships are more intensive and maybe even better. So I would really like to go to school there for a year and learn more about this!

Sport at school is important for me. Actually sport in general, but my school and most other schools prefer other things or even nothing... I would love to take part in a sport team for school in the USA! Tennis would be the best: D

In my free time I also do sports beside tennis like basketball, swimming, table tennis and sometimes soccer or I meet friends. We go to the cinema, or somewhere else.

If I get the chance to go one year to school in the USA, I will do my best to have a nice and formative time with my host family, because I think it is the most important thing while an exchange.
