Dear Host Family,

I am Nadja, 16 years old and live in Germany. At the moment I visit 10th grade My English knowledge aren't that good yet, which is certainly a reason why I applied for the student exchange. In addition it's personally important to me to gain experience and to become more independent. I always was a person, who loves to travel and experience new cultures. Why exactly America, I am not quite sure.

But when we visited California this year, I was a 100% sure that this was where I'd like to spend my exchange! I certainly gained some impression, but I know that that wasn't the typical American live, which I really want to get to know. I would say about myself, that I'm quite independent and can integrate well. I can adjust to new situations quickly and can settle in as well, without problems! I am allergic to nothing and like to try new things. I already can't wait to begin my exchange.

My family constellation in Germany in a little bit complicated. I have a mother as well as a stepmother, a father and a stepfather. I also have a half-brother named Robin.

My parents divorced a long time ago, so I divide my time between them. In my free time I most of all like to go and play tennis or do horse riding! I just started learning Tennis, but I've been riding for now 8 years. Riding is most fun with my best friend for me.

I just love to meet my friends, having a coffee and talking about everything in school and what is new. I also like do go diving and hunting with my family. I don't have a hunting license yet, but I would like to make one sometime in the near future. I love to cook together with my mom and my boyfriend! We often cook in the weekends, but also when we have time during the week.

Since my childhood we have pets and I couldn't really imagine life without a pet in my family! We have four cats and a dog. When I was young, I had to touch every animal.
